Sprowston Football Club is a community‑driven grassroots organisation founded in 1978. We provide mixed teams, girls‑only teams, and beginner‑level Saturday Kickers sessions, offering football opportunities for children and young people across the Sprowston area. Our mission is to help players develop football skills, confidence, teamwork, and life skills through structured coaching and positive social experiences.
We promote the FA Respect ethos and create a supportive environment where every child can grow both on and off the pitch. Beyond football, the club encourages social development through activities such as bowling, climbing, team‑building events, and attending live matches.
“Children who attend Sprowston FC are not just playing football; they are learning life skills, building confidence, developing team spirit, staying healthy, and becoming part of something meaningful.”
The club continues to serve the Sprowston community through inclusive programmes, dedicated volunteers, and strong leadership from key contacts including the Chairman, Secretary, and Welfare Officer.
Approximately 90% of children show better performance or engagement when provided with positive reinforcement in contexts like sports or play, reinforcing the "We Only Do Positive" campaign message.
